Three years ago I bought 3 acres of forest in Sri Lanka — no road, no crops, just a loan and a long-term plan. I cleared it, built the road myself, and started growing things. The land is an hour from home. A family nearby tends it. I manage it from a distance.
I'm a software engineer. My first instinct was spreadsheets and Notion. Neither held together. Every farming app I found was built for agribusiness — they wanted me to log in hectares and configure irrigation schedules. I just needed to know what was planted where, what I'd spent, and what needed doing next weekend.
So I built Furrowed.
